I have a life update for you today, though if you've read my About page recently, you likely already saw what I'm about to say...

Last week, Chris and I decided to "uncouple". I prefer that term to "breaking up" because we are still a part of each other's lives (we still live together but luckily have two bedrooms so it's working out so far). We decided that we are better as friends than we are as boyfriend/girlfriend. I'm grateful that the "talk" was quick and painless.

This is now my second LTR to end after more than three years, and it's still weird even though I knew it was coming eventually. I'm in the phase of life where the majority of the people I know are getting engaged or married and/or starting to have children, so to basically start over is unsettling to me. I'm still young, though, so I'm trying not to panic too much. (It feels ridiculous to type that, haha. Can anyone relate?) I really have not given myself the chance to be truly single so I'm looking forward to taking care of myself for the foreseeable future. And hey, if I become an old unmarried cat lady...at least I have cats. ;)
