What not to do before taking outfit photos
You would think that after three years of taking outfit photos relatively frequently, I would know how to keep my outfit looking as pristine as possible until after the photos are taken. Usually, I shoot all of my outfits on the same day they are worn, so I tend to ignore things like wrinkles because that's unavoidable (and, you know, real life). However, I still sometimes make mistakes and then not notice the issue until I'm looking through the photos (#fail). If you're also a style blogger, here's a brief list of what you should not do immediately before taking outfit photos:
do a complete dump of every litter box, which requires kneeling on the carpet for long periods of time and results in red knees (case in point: this outfit)
kneeling or laying on anything (if the outfit shows your legs) because then you'll have weird grooves on your legs
fail to lotion your knees if they're dry as dust
hugging a cat or other shedding animal or sitting on hairy surfaces (especially when wearing a dark color)
work up a sweat
eat food that has a tendency to get stuck in your teeth
forget to look in a mirror to make sure everything is in place as it should be (i.e. necklace strings, pant cuffs, lipstick, etc.)
Are there any that you would add to the list? I'm sure there's something I'm missing, haha!
Madewell sweater (old; similar or shop more grey sweaters) / J.Crew Factory skirt (old; similar from Urban Outfitters) / & Other Stories boots (similar by The Kooples; last seen here) / Leith hat via Nordstrom (exact style or similar color; shop more floppy hats)
