Postcards from Victoria, British Columbia
Over my birthday weekend, I had the opportunity to travel with my (new) boyfriend and his family to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. I haven't been to Canada in years (possibly a decade?), so I was ecstatic to pay our neighbor to the north a visit. :) Even though the purpose of the trip was family-related, it happened to coincide with the British royal visit. We weren't around when they made their appearance at the Legislative Building in Victoria, but we did stop by a few hours before and it sure was fun to experience the excitement at least a little bit.
The main event (the family party) took place in a beach house in Metchosin, just outside of Victoria. We had gorgeous views to go along with all of the laughs (and food—lots of food!). I already can't wait for my next visit! I just adore Canada.
