Two bloggers, one garment: Windowpane skirt
I've got another outfit collab for you today! I teamed up with the ever-so-lovely Kaity of Lovely Friend Blog to style our windowpane skirts from LOFT (from the spring collection). Kaity is currently in her second year of medical school and a resident of Alabama. I love how she recaps what she learned each month in med school (and shares other fun tidbits of knowledge along the way), and her outfits are fabulous every time. Her style is accessible and the piece she wears are affordable, and this makes her one of my favorite sources for outfit inspiration.
I was very tempted to go greyscale for my look, but I'm really glad I didn't. The skirt is a perfect neutral even though it is patterned. I decided to pair it with my blush cashmere sweater and top it off with my burgundy felt hat. I love wearing shades kind of close to each other on the color wheel. Just so I didn't get too crazy with color, I finished the look with black ballet flats. The bag wasn't originally part of my vision, but I like how well it went with the sweater and skirt; it didn't overpower the outfit at all, so I'm glad I chose that bag over my black crossbody.
Kaity definitely nailed it with her look! Even though Alabama doesn't have much of a fall, doesn't she look like the absolute epitome of fall?! That burnt orange blouse is gorgeous. Her boots are also perfect for the season. I'm so glad she joined me for this little mini series! :) Be sure to check out her full post including outfit details!
